Danita Jo Talbot
Leader. Philanthropist. Communicator.
I am passionate about using my expertise for good. The partnership of Main Streets, the City of Boston, and the Roslindale Village community is at the intersection of my superhero powers. Believing in this shared mission of building and preserving vibrant neighborhoods is something that drives me to deliver the best results – the kind that will help your nonprofit grow.
Whether propelling a small business through the next growth spurt, helping a non-profit spread the word or building corporate philanthropy, I connect efforts together into sustainable and repeatable systems. Ones that will grow your donors, your supporters, your revenue, and your community constituents.

You need a community leader who understands the issues from every angle.
Business Advisor
As a consultant working with Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs), I sit at the table with them, the SBA and the City of Boston, problem solving the most urgent issues business owners today are facing.
Community Leader
With the mindset of creating programs with strong financial footing as well as strategic mission alignment, impact becomes sustainable. I've formulated strategic plans for maximizing program impact, lead its implementation and strengthened community partnerships at some of Boston's largest nonprofits, including United Way. Then taken that success to my neighborhood, creating a strong, healthy approach to the City of Boston's local Main Street program.
Knowledge Sharer
From boardrooms to ballrooms, sharing what works for myself and other like-minded organizations and individuals is key to spreading knowledge to the greater community. Presenting with the right mix of energetic motivation and actionable tips, I bring my know-how to others with real-world application. I have recently presented on How Nonprofits Can Strategically Select Programming for Impact at the Nonprofit Mastermind.
Board Member
As an active Board Member sitting on several nonprofit boards and advisory committees, I've recruited and lead Committees and their strategic efforts to raise not only the visibility of the organization but in developing processes that ensure efficiency and accountability. As Boston Main Streets Volunteer of the Year, my passion can be contagious, leading organization efforts, developing a promotions and events committee, assembling donor lists, stewarding corporate donations, setting up a CRM, co-chairing a search committee for a new Executive Director and recruiting committee volunteers to help every step of the way.
